Description

Charming Ancient Roman Female terracotta bust. With nicely detailed hair, traces of original paint. Fragmentary as shown. A very good portrait. Purportedly excavated at Aldborough, Yorkshire, about 1960. Aldborough was the center of the Romanised Brigantes, the largest tribe in Britain in that era. Ingenious custom Lucite stand.
