Another of the Chinese tomb guardians with three horns protruding from the back of the head and neck. Polychroming emerging from the incrustation. The "lowered head, curled-back tail and flexed rear legs give this small moulded animal an air of tenaciousness and steadfastness." The animal displays much musculature as well. The body is hollow (ref. "Spirit of Han, Ceramics for the After-Life" published by the Southeast Asian Ceramic Society, 1991.)
Accompanied by ThermoLuminescent Testing Certificate.
