Description
This beautiful ancient tetradrachma silver coin is in a custom made modern gold setting that will enhance any understated gold or silver necklace. The coin is carefully mounted in the setting so as not to disturb the numismatic value should one wish to remove it as a fine ancient Alexander specimen. Head of Herakles facing right, wearing lion skin headdress, knotted at the neck. The opposite a depiction of Zeus the Greek god on his throne, holding scepter in left hand and addressing an eagle in his right. Dotted border. Excellent early style. Coin alone roughly 17+ g. A collector's piece.
