This handsome and important oil lamp is from the Seljuk Period in Ancient Persia - a bird stands on the looped handle, incised stylized elephants with bulging heads are found on the body of the lamp. Hinged lid sports a peacock. Beautiful custom made Lucite stand enhances the display.
