Description
A cast bronze vessel leg formed as a claw resting on a ball, a sturdy leg with feather detailing on the edges and a central triangular stem. This is a very fine example of a portion of a classical vessel from an upper class Roman household. Bronze objects of this quality were expensive as compared to terracotta or iron, which were more commonly used in everyday life.
