Description
This ancient Gilgamesh two faced figure of bronze is from Luristan. Decorated with the head of Pazuzu, from Assyrian and Babylonian mythology. Pazuzu was King of the wind demons. He represented the Southwestern wind, the bearer of storms, drought, famine and locusts. This is a rare votive piece carved by an individual.
